Sun Tea

Sun Tea
Sun Tea jar
4 family size tea bags
1 gallon water

Using a sun tea jar or other gallon glass jug with a lid, fill the container with water. Then place three or four family size tea bags in the water. If you like strong tea, use four bags. The tea bags will have a string and a tab on each. Group the tabs together and pull them out of the jar so they are clear of the lid. Screw on the lid making sure the tea bags are inside the jar and the tabs are on the outside.

Place the filled jar in the sun so it can heat. Place the jar on a table or somewhere elevated so ants do not get into the tea. Since we all know that ants can get just about anywhere, keep watch on the tea. Leave in the sun for at least four hours. You can see the tea darken as it sits in the sun. When finished, leave the tea in the sun tea jar or pour into another container. Add sugar or a
sugar substitute to taste. Serve with sliced lemons. Place the tea in the refrigerator until needed.
