
Pro: You have the opportunity to spend time with your children and allow them to grow having their parent around them on a daily basis.
Con: Your children won’t be as socialized unless you include play groups and other activities that allow your child to socialize with other children their age.
Pro: Being at home with the children enhances their lives.
Con: Many people worry about whether it is best for their children’s learning and growth to be a home or at a professional day care. Don’t. You made the decision based upon your family needs and you are doing the right thing.
Pro: Being a stay-at-home parent enhances everyone’s life, your spouse and the children. You will learn new skills and become very organized in multi-tasking.
Con: Stepping out of the work force can often set you back when going back to work. The job will change and the chances of starting back where you were when you left the work force is very slim. You have to understand that going into being a stay-at-home parent.
Pro: Having the children at home enable them to miss many of the colds and other illnesses children get in day care and other areas where there are a large grouping of children.
Con: You children will not build up an immune system as fast. Using play groups will amount to more illnesses but will build their immunity.
Pro: You can save money and have better, and more nutritious meals being a stay-at-home-parent.
Con: Not being in the work force means less income but with proper budgeting and if necessary, a stay-at-home job can offset the differences.
